Robert Belton - Training In Ninjutsu Since 1990

With your permission, let me tell you a little about the person behind Bujinkan Wexford Dojo which is is headed by Robert Belton, a very experienced instructor

Robert Belton is the highest-ranking instructor of any martial art school in wexford, with well over 22 years of continuous training and 14 years of teaching experience in both effective self defense, martial arts and the weapons arts

The emphasis in his club is on weapons training - Teaching both armed, unarmed techniques and tactics for personal self-defence

Robert first saw Hatsumi Soke in real life while training in Spain at one of Hatsumi Soke Tai Kais, and over the following years at Tai Kai held in France, USA, Garmany, Italy, England, Sweeden.

He also trained several times in Japan and has had the good fortune to attended seminars given by some of the top practitioners of the art in both Europe and the USA

In turn, bringing this experience and teachings back to Bujinkan Wexford

Robert's Martial Art background started in 1976 with Judo, then dabbling over the years in diffrent arts including Tae Kwon do, Boxing, Akido, Kickboxing, Hapkido, Jujutsu, Jujitsu, Kenjutsu, B.J.J, Bataireacht, Europan Martial Arts and Westren Fencing

His particular interest being weapons arts, both Japanese and European. As Hatsumi Sokes arts are weapons based, Robert has been a student of Hatsumi Sokes arts since 1990

Some would have us believe that there is some "magical power" or "voodoo secret" in this, but in reality it has more to do with the alignment of our mental perception or awareness than any 'supernatural' abilities

Robert's interest lies in the Bujinkan as a weapons art, in teaching it and promoting it. He is not interested in politics, rivalary, club loyalties and style loyalties or egos. Which is also known as "The Muppet Factor" - whatever....

Be careful of what you find out there and do not take it to seriously

As well as a strong business background, Robert has 25 years of management experience and is a qualified Web Disigner

We practice fighting skills for ourselves, not to put on displays or entertain the public

We are concerned with the practical methods of fighting, with accuiring the personal skills to protect ourselves
